A family story

Built around 1350 and held by the Roques-Rogery family ever since, the Château de Laplanque has weathered wars, the French Revolution and a long, quiet life as a working country estate. During the Second World War it sheltered more than six hundred members of the French Resistance.

Hunting has run through every chapter of that history. Today, France Safaris welcomes a small number of guests each season to share the chase, the table, and the unhurried rhythm of a French countryside that few foreign hunters know exists.

Region

Laplanque sits in the Aveyron, between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees, an hour from Toulouse. Around the estate lie some of the most beautiful villages of France — Conques, Najac, Belcastel — markets, vineyards, and the slow gastronomy that gives the region its character.

Seven species. One country.

There are seven huntable species at Laplanque and around it. France is rarely named among Europe's hunting destinations — and yet here, on a single ridge, you may glass three of them in a morning.

Founded in 1526, the world's oldest manufacturing company shares the estate's belief that family, craft and time are inseparable. Our guests are equipped with Beretta firearms and, after their hunt, may visit the Beretta factory, museum and vineyard in Italy.

A note from Guillaume

Guillaume Roques-Rogery

We do not run a hotel, and France Safaris is not a brand. It is the family estate, opened to a few hunters each season because we love this — the country, the chase, the long table afterwards.

If you write to us, you will hear back from me. Tell us what you have in mind. We will tell you, honestly, what we can offer and what we can't.

À bientôt,

Guillaume Roques-Rogery Heir, Château de Laplanque
